The fourth annual African Angel Investor Summit will take place in Cape Town in November, bringing together the continent’s early-stage investor community to exchange best practices, share lessons learned and plot the roadmap for the future.

The summit – which will also involve a bonus ‘Cape Town Innovation Tour’ – is an exclusive investor-only event that unites key stakeholders in the ecosystem organized by Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), the African Business Angels Network (ABAN) and the South African Business Angels Network (SABAN).African Angel Investor Summit set for Cape Town

This year’s event, which takes place in Cape Town on November 15-16, will also welcome special guests from the XLAfrica initiative of the World Bank, while the summit is powered by the Work in Progress! Alliance.

The theme is ‘Start-Scale-Exit, Funding Great Startup Teams Poised For Global Success’, which focuses on the role investors play in working with startup teams to scale internationally and ultimately exit.African Angel Investor Summit set for Cape Town

Whereas the last three editions of the summit focused on seed capital and collaboration within the ecosystem, this year it will focus on the next steps of the investment cycle, with keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops centered on how investors and different players in the ecosystem help Africa’s entrepreneurs to scale internationally and get ready-to-exit.

Speakers include renowned investors such as Lexi Novitske, Brett Commaille, Tomi Davies, Aaron Fu, Keet van Zijl, Eline Blaauboer, Ido Sum, Rebecca Enonchong, and Steven Koltai. Maya Horgan of Ingressive is leading a delegation of investors from the United States (US) while the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) will bring a delegation of investors from Europe.

The event is positioned to bring together leading African investors and the companies they support, an ideal platform for the international investment community to plug into the African tech startup ecosystem. The event and program provides a unique opportunity for accessing quality deal-flow and for exploring actionable co-investment opportunities in the continent’s top companies,” said Ben White, founder and of VC4A.African Angel Investor Summit 2017 invite New Early Bird Date
