About Dr. Anita Borg

Dr. Anita Borg (1949-200) was a fervent believer in the power of technology to transform all aspects of the human life; political, social, and personal life. Being the tech rebel she was, Anita Borg was relentless in her fight to ensure technology will only be used for good.

She spent a good part of her adult life making a case for adoption of technology into our day-to-day lives. While actively marshaling women and minority groups to enter into the computer and technology fields. In memory and honor of the late Anita Borg that Google is supporting the Women Techmakers Scholars Program.
