Open any browser in your iPhone or iPad and open Twitter website. Login your account.

Now click on your profile image, next to the big blue Tweet button and tap on Settings.

On the left options pane, you will see an option called “Apps”. Click it. It contains all the apps which you have ever used to access Twitter or in-app functions. The list could be big depending upon the scope and nature of your usage.

With every app in the list, you will see a “Revoke Access” button.

You need to click this button for every app and revoke access for every app. This would clear off the push notification problem. Especially, don’t forget to revoke access for Apple’s official Twitter app for iOS.

After revoking access for all the apps. Save the settings and logout of your Twitter account.

Now reboot your iPhone or iPad. After rebooting, launch the Twitter’s app in your device. No need to open Twitter in browser now.

Now change the push notifications settings according to your choice.
