Android users are facing the issue of “sending disabled” message being displayed when they try to send a picture through text message. They are not sure about how this happened but it is very irritating. Below are the solutions you can try to fix showing disabled message error while sending a picture via normal messages.

MMS Settings

Make sure your phone’s settings let you send MMS as pictures are sent through MMS. Go to your phone’s Settings and then go to messages. In the messages settings, turn on the MMS option. This would fix showing disabled message error while sending a picture via normal messages.

 

 

Default Messaging App

To fix showing disabled message error while sending a picture via normal messages is to use the phone’s default messaging App. This error usually appears if you are using more than one messaging App to send text messages. If you have more than one messaging App, only one of them can be set as default App. Using the App which is not set as default will show this error and you wouldn’t be able to send a picture through normal messages.

Factory Reset

Go to your phone’s Settings and then go Back up and Reset. Now, uncheck automatic restore and factory reset your phone. Before you factory reset your phone, make sure you have backed up your data to prevent any loss. The process refreshes your phone and resets the connection to the network. This would factory reset your phone and fix showing disabled message error while sending a picture via normal messages.

Clear Cache

To fix showing disabled message error while sending a picture through normal messages, clear your phone’s cache. Go to your phone’s Settings and then go to Applications. Under the Application tab, go to Application Manager and tap on the messaging App to clear its cache. Upon confirmation, tap on yes to clear cached data for the messaging App.
