Get Ready to MOBinnovate during Social Media Week #smwMOBinnovate
mobi_bg(1)Michelle O Brunch Group, the network that nurtures African-American female thought leadership, is excited to announce it’s latest initiative, MOBinnovate. Launching 2.18.14 at Social Media Week NYC, MOBinnovate is an immersive experience that leads participants from learning innovation and design thinking to presenting new concepts to a live audience. Dubbed a micro-accelerator, MOBinnovate highlights, resources and amplifies African-American women in innovation.

The experience is open to all SMWNYC passholders and features: a Masterclass on innovation and design thinking processes (2/18), office hours with marketing, business development, storytelling and strategy experts, and a Panel/Demo Presentation on Friday, 2.21.24, 3:00 – 4:00pm EST on the SMW CHANGE Stage. “From start to finish, MOBinnovate is packed with opportunities, connections and insights,” stated Chana Ewing, head Girl + Founder, littlebigGirl + CO and the Michelle O Brunch Group. “Social Media Week NYC is an amazing and inspirational space to launch a new idea, we’re so excited for the opportunity!”

Historic civil rights organization, the National Urban League, is challenging MOBinnovators to ideate a digital component to an upcoming project on the millions of Americans impoverished and underemployed; while cutting edge women’s fashion brand, Byron Lars Beauty Mark challenges the participants to imagine growth opportunities between the brand and its specialty retailers. Mentors include Nicole Valentine, founder of the recently launched business strategy app, Winly, and Natalia Oberti Noguera, founder of the Pipeline Fellowship, a growing community of women changing the ratio in angel investing. And a panel of distinguished Silicon Alley insiders headlines our final Presentation moderated by Tiffany Dufu, Chief Leadership Officer, Levo League. Coinciding with Black History Month, MOBinnovate suggests that the future is connecting the dots between business, technological, and social impact.
