Almost always when you want to take a picture or a video on your camera phone, you have to use flash. But if you have ever looked at a picture taken with flash and one without, you must have noticed the one with the flash on has a limited ‘field of view’ that is brightly lit, and the edges are much darker. You, therefore, end up losing some things to the darkness. But without the flash, a good percentage of the field of view is well visible. Well, Google’s new feature, Night Sight, is reportedly working on disrupting the night-time (low-light) shots.
Google new Night Sight is tailor-made for Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL that enables users to take higher quality pictures at night or in low lighting situations.
As Google explains, Night Sight “helps you capture vibrant and detailed low-light photos without a flash or tripod.
When it’s dark, cameras compensate by spending more time capturing light and increasing their sensitivity to light, often adding unwanted motion blur and noise to your photo. Night Sight constantly adapts to you and the environment.”
As described by Google, Night Sight serves to make pictures capture in a low-light situation less blurred and less noisy.
“Night Sight is designed to capture true-to-life photos, adapting to the various lighting conditions you’ll see at night. Using machine learning, Night Sight balances the color of your photo so that objects show their natural color at night.”
With this new feature, whenever you are about to take a picture in a low-light situation, your Pixel phone will suggest that you use the Night Sight feature.
