More and more games from the past Xbox gaming console can now be played in the full HD-mode on the Xbox One. Well, GTA San Andreas becomes the latest Rockstars Games to be available for the Xbox One backward compatibility program.

Avid gamers know that San Andreas first came out in 2004 as a PS2 exclusive game. However, it later came onto the original Xbox then later on the Xbox 360. So which one is on the Xbox One backward compatibility?

Well, the short answer is both! Though in reality the Xbox One backward compatibility for GTA: San Andreas was built from the Xbox 360 re-release, however, if you still have the original Xbox disc for the game. Pop it in an Xbox One console, and you will be pleasantly surprised. You will still enjoy the backward compatibility option, and play your San Andreas with all your achievements, sharper textures, and better draw distances.

Other Rockstars GTA games available on Xbox One backward compatibility option

Other Rockstars GTA titles you can play on Xbox one are GTA 4 and GTA 5. GTA San Andreas becomes the latest one available on Xbox One backward compatibility.

Other game like Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City are not available on Xbox One at the moment, nor at Xbox 360. Perhaps they Rockstars are working with Xbox in the background to make them available.
