Tech news editors over at BGR were apparently too quick on the keyboard when they prematurely published a post revealing Google’s plans of opening up Project Fi network to more devices including iPhone, Samsung, and OnePlus. However, that announcement was made too early, and they were forced to take it down. Google is reported to prepping up to make the announcement tomorrow.

As per the post that was taken down, Google Project Fi is set to allow Samsung, Motorola, LG, iPhones, and OnePlus devices ‘’in beta’.’ Though Google was quick to point out that ‘’full Google Fi experience’’ will not be available to devices that were not designed for Fi.

The devices that were designed for Fi (Pixel 2, 2XL, 3, 3XL, LG V35, LG G7, Moto X4, and Moto G6 have the ability to switch between Wi-Fi, US Cellular, Sprint, and T-Mobile towers for a more rounded coverage.

Given that not all phones are 100% Project Fi compatible, so using mobile devices like the iPhone will not guarantee you a quick Wi-Fi/LTE connection. The real details will be revealed tomorrow at 10 AM Pacific time.
