Kaymu And Kinabuti Partner With Change A Life Foundation For Children Day Skill Workshop

In commemoration of Children’s Day, coming up celebrated yearly on May 27th, leading online shopping community, Kaymu.com.ng has partnered with Kinabuti Fashion Initiative (KFI) for a Children’s Day Skill Entrepreneurship Workshop to train children from the Change A Life (CAL) Foundation on silk screen printing.

The workshop slated for Tuesday May 26th is a joint initiative by Kaymu and Kinabuti to empower children with skills to set them off on their entrepreneurial path.

Children from the CAL Foundation owned by ace broadcaster and media entrepreneur, Funmi Iyanda, will be trained on how to brand clothing items by trainers from Kinabuti using locally made and affordable materials. The children will thereafter be educated on how to own and manage an online store on Kaymu. The items branded during this initiative will be put up for sale on Kaymu with proceeds given to the Change A Life Foundation.

Head of PR and Communications Kaymu, Tomiwa Oladele in a release stated, “This initiative was birthed out of the need to drive entrepreneurship amongst Nigerian youths. By empowering children with this skill set, Kaymu and Kinabuti are unleashing the future entrepreneurs of our time”.

Kinabuti Fashion Initiative is a non-profit organization that propagates change by giving youths from underdeveloped communities the opportunity to learn skills through its various vocational acquisition schemes.

According to Francesca Rosset, co-founder KFI, “Kinabuti aim is projecting development through fashion and we are very happy to partner with Kaymu on this project as we are not only teaching children a vocational skill but we are also showing them how to use such skill to produce and sell online for the creation of their own wealth”.

Kaymu and Kinabuti are exploring more partnerships to empower Nigerians all over the country. The Children’s Day skill entrepreneurship workshop is supported by Pulse.ng.
