Nokia is back from the “Dead” with a 7.9 Inch iPad-looking tablet running Android Lollipop

This is a line I thought I will never write, ‘Nokia has launched a new device’. An iPad-looking tablet featuring a 7.9 inch display and running on the latest Google’s OS the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Finnish company’s new tablet called the N1, is said to retail at $250. A snippet on details on the 7.9 inch IPS LCD display include features like 2048×1536 pixels resolution, a zero-air gas display and fitted with Gorilla Glass 3 layer.

The body design of the new tablet is fitted with a unibody aluminum design that comes in Natural Aluminum or Lava Gray colors. If you ‘pop the hood’ the N1 packs some fancy hardware including a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, that is clocking at 2.3GHz.

For the selfie-lovers and photogenic people, you will be glad to know the N1 comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, to enhance your selfies experience. To satisfy your data storage, the N1 is fitted with a 32GB internal storage, with the capability of a microSD card extension.

In terms of internet and connectivity, the N1 has the dual channel 802.11 a/b/n/ac Wi-Fi with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The new Nokia tablet running on the latest Android operating system (Lollipop), has an additional Nokia’s own Z launcher which has so far only been seen private beta version.

To Nokia loyal customers, it is quite refreshing to hear a new brand from Nokia, running the leading mobile operating system. Well, by simply reading the specs on paper on the N1. We can say this new tablet looks pretty slick, but the proof will only be in the pudding; once you get your hands on it.
