Ringier Africa and Asia Pacific Has new Structure and Leadership To Support Market Growth

Ringier has embarked on a restructuring program for its international market set-up for the year 2016. Ringier Africa and Asia began the structuring process on the first of January and have so far implemented some changes to support a strong market growth internationally, including adding more personnel and establishing more international support.

Ringier registered strong market growth in 2015 in all core businesses in both African and Asian countries. Some of the notable milestone achievements include it’s new market entry in Myanmar. The company has also introduced new international setup that will see Ringier grow further both in efficiency and quality.

Leonard Stiegeler, the former General Manager of Ringier Nigeria and the Head of Ringier West Africa has now been appointed as the new General Manager of Ringier Africa. While Florent de Rocca-Serra, who was the former Head of New Business Implementation Ringier AG, will be the new General Manager of Ringier Asia Pacific, and Jessica List, who previously was part of Ringier’s M&A and Business Development team, will be the new CFO for Ringier Africa. The former Head of Marketing International Markets Jessica Stiles will become the new CMO of Ringier Africa and Asia.

All of the above positions will report to Robin Lingg, the current CEO of Ringier Africa and Asia, who has since been elected to the new Group Executive Board of Ringier AG. Mark Slade the former Head of Digital Marketing Agency, RDM in Nigeria, will become the new General Manager of Ringier Nigeria. While Julian Artopé, the current Director Ringier Africa is set to begin MBA program at the end of March, following a four-year run of building Ringier’s African businesses.

To give more support for Ringier’s rising complexity and fast-scaling operation, four new dedicated teams have also been developed for the African business models; Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Classifieds, and Content. Each team will have a dedicated team that will support them in the following fields, Product Development, Marketing and Business & Operations.

With the high speed and growth of our digital business in Africa and Asia, we were in need of stronger support structure to facilitate further aggressive scaling of our business. Through this evolution of the organization I am convinced we’ll be able to further boost and expand our leading market positions in Classifieds, Content, E-Commerce and Digital Marketing across all our markets, said, Robin Lingg, the CEO Ringer Africa & Asia.

We have a proven and highly experiences team of which I’m very happy to see much internally promoted leadership emerge. I also would like to thank Julian Artopé, who has been essential for building this organization on the ground and has been a key part for the success of Ringier.”
