Samsung Foldable Smartphones will be available in Q3 of 2017

Samsung has taken quite some beating particularly over the Q2 of 2016. That year was particularly hard for the Samsung brand. They need to pull something grand to repair its brand image, and Samsung foldable smartphones might just do the trick.

We first learned about the bendable/foldable Samsung smartphone in June 2016, and it might just come to fruition before the end of this year.

Report by The Korea Herald claims Samsung is prepping up for the release of about 100,000 units of foldable smartphones that turn into tablets. The device when folded turns into a smartphone, and when unfolded, it turns into a 7-inch tablet.

News of Samsung’s planned release of a foldable smartphone that turns into a tablet is in line with a patent the company released. As SlashGear writes, the patent title reads; “Foldable electronic apparatus having display panel with variable curvature”.

There is also the expected released of Samsung Galaxy S8, April 18, 2017. So be on the lookout for that. Yes, it has the standard 3.5 mm headset jack but at the bottom, instead of at the top as most modern smartphones seem to be trying to make as the standard.

Judging from the case alone, we can conclude the Galaxy S8 will have three buttons. Probably a power button, and up/down volume buttons on the side. The phones will have a USB-C port at the bottom according to rumors doing round.
