StartupBootCamp has extended the application window for African Startups | Oct 31st

African innovators and inventors that would like to enter the StartupBootCamp; an international network of industry-focused startup accelerators started in Copenhagen, Denmark. Have until October 31, 2015, to apply for the insurance-themed competition that will be held in London, UK in 2016.

The competition runs through 12 countries in different corners of the world, where participating candidate startups will be given mini-pitches opportunities last five minutes. During which they are expected to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges from the StartupBootCamp. The judges will be on the lookout for the best insurance related ideas from the participating startups.StartupBootCamp has extended the application window for African Startups | Oct 31st

Only ten startups will be handpicked by the judges to proceed to the world level competition, which will be pitching different startups from different regions of the world against each other. The final competition will be held in London, UK.

Few weeks leading to the final contest, the ten startups will be given funding, mentorship, access to an international network of investors and VCs and an office space at the heart of London. The successful startup will walk away with €15k in cash per team, over €450k in partner services, invitation to join the StartupBootCamp global alumni network and growth program, and in exchange they will have to give up 8% equity of their startup company.

Startups in Africa, thinking of participating in this competition must apply for selection before October 31st, 2015. The selection day for the startups that meet the threshold for the competition will be done in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa on November 7th and 9th, 2015.
