TwitterlogobirdHold the Phone: Twitter Update Offers Better Photo, Video Viewing

As social media platforms strive to remain competitive, Twitter has recently joined the fray by making video and picture viewing more dynamic and user friendly.

Twitter users are posting an average of more than 400 million tweets a day, with many of those updates including video and photos. According to reports, part of its new software update for its app on Android and iPhone, as well as to its Website, Twitter says it’s made media “more visual and more engaging” by offering previews that show up underneath. Previews now pop up just below images instead of a link that users previously needed to tap within the company’s official app.

This is yet another reason to double check before making any updates, but also offers a better user experience. And who likes having to check an extra link just to get to photos anyway?
