Nairobi Kenya just got the bragging rights to be the host of the biggest mall in sub-Saharan Africa. All thanks to investment firm Centum establishment of the Two Rivers Mall. Set up on an 11 acres piece of land, the mall houses about 200 stores including some global retailers and internationally renowned brands like Zara, Swarovski, and LC Waikiki.

Two Rivers mall is the biggest mall in Africa after an even bigger mall established in South Africa. The extensive mall will also provide unrivaled outdoor entertainment experience on many on any of its standout features.

The mall will kick off with 27 diverse restaurants, two supermarkets, and banking halls. The management says the mall will provide about 1,000 jobs to Kenyans. Movement around the mall will be easy with the 18 escalators, 4 auto walks, and 14 lifts. There will also be plenty of parking spaces, with more than 2,000 vehicles able to fit in the bays. The mall has already developed a mobile app, Two Rivers App, which will enable customers to make parking payments as well as be in the fast lane to announcements of events and promotions at the mall.

James Kariuki, the Centum’s Real Estate Commercial Director, says the aqua park will is going to be a key attraction for people looking for a great weekend getaway.

We have got a lot of events happening from today and in the coming days. We have got lots of chocolate fountains and flowers for the ladies to mark the opening on this special day. On Friday (17th), we have a corporate event to say thank you to our partners, tenants, and investors,” said Kariuki.

The Feb 17th opening day will be marked with African drummers, orchestra, and ballerinas dancers. There will also be some live mixing from some of the top DJs in Kenya.

On Saturday, following the opening day will be marked by a line-up of comedian performance, which will include Eric Omondi, Churchill and musicians like Wahu, Nameless, and Sauti Sol.
