USA Televangelist Pat Robertson says in Kenya “the towels could have AIDS” Sparking Kenyans’ Outrage on Twitter.
USA Televangelist, Pat Robertson is no stranger to public condemnation for his outrageous outlook on the world. He is an avid anti-LGBT crusader who was involved in a public condemnation. Last year after claiming that homosexual people and AIDS activists are intentionally spreading the HIV virus through special rings made to bruise people while shaking hands and “transfer blood.”
The televangelist has now extended his comments to Kenyans, and Kenyans have not taken it lying down. During last Thursday’s TV show of The 700 Club, Robertson while responding to a question from a missionary worker worried about the Ebola virus while on a missionary trip to Africa. Said:
“Not in Kenya. You might get AIDS in Kenya. The people have AIDS. You gotta be careful. I mean, the towels could have AIDS. There are things – there are diseases in Africa.”
These remarks sparked off condemnations in Kenya, where Kenyans came out strongly to condemn the televangelist. Using the #SomeoneTellPatRobertson which is today trending in Kenya; the following is what Kenyans have to tell Pat Robertson:

Another Robertson’s “greatest hits” was when he said that single mothers are making their boys grow up being gay and most LGBT people are the result of abuse during childhood. But perhaps his “greatest classic hit’ was in a letter dated 1992, where he made the assertions:
The feminist movement “is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.”
Kenyans have definitely come of age as far as the use of social media and technology is involved. They are using social media to address various socio-economic aspects of their lives.
