Windows 10 Anniversary Update

The last official release of Windows 10 variant is the Creators Update version 1703. It currently runs on 65.6% of PCs in the world.

That is according to stats by Aduplex. The predecessor of the Creators Update, the Anniversary Update still runs on 30.1% of PCs. While the November Update is running on 2.8% of PCs. That is a disappointment for Microsoft if it intends not having a fragmented Windows 10 running out there, like how Google is with Android.

The adoption rate of new Windows version needs to be higher; especially now when Microsoft is planning to release the Fall Creators Update in September. Microsoft needs to improve in how it gets Windows user upgrade to the most recent version of the Windows 10 OS. Otherwise, it will end up with a fragmented market, like Android, which comes with the headache of creating applications and security patches for the various fragments.

If precedence is anything to go by, the upcoming Windows 10 Fall Creators Update might not get as fast adoption as Microsoft would like.
