The ten runners-up were each awarded a Wacom Intuos Draw Pen Tablet. The five contestants each walked home with the BlackBerry Z10 smartphones after bagging the Voters’ Choice winners.
The BBM Stickathon is a competition by BBM messaging platform encouraging users to create distinct local chat icons; popularly known as stickers but, in this case, being referred to as ‘stickas’. This competition was open to designers in South Africa with the aim of not just empowering them, but also engaging the African design culture.
Users can download the ‘stickas’ from BBM Shop and scale up the fun on their BBM chats experience. BBM messaging app is fairly a popular chat app globally, and runs not just on the Blackberry platform, but also iOS, Android and Windows Phone platform.
