MTN Solution Space Venture Incubation program has been receiving applications to the winter rounds of the incubation program. The program will identify best 10 digital startups to start the incubation program kicking off in September.
The incubation program will run for three months, with the participants getting chances of sponsorship and mentorship from the MTN network and $22,150 funding. The incubation program will be hosted at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business-based Solution Space. The participants will also get advisory services, mentorship, access to investors, and corporate networks, and taken through workshops on business fundamentals.
MTN is calling on all tech solutions startups from across the continent to apply for the program. Startups of high interest are those in the fintech, edtech, e-health, e-commerce, internet of things (IoT), gaming, and entertainment spaces.
“This is an opportunity for innovation-driven entrepreneurs who are working on digital solutions to take their business to the next level. The early stages of a startups are so critical and often the least supported time in the life-cycle of a startup. We aim for maximum impact at this stage and for startups to leave our incubator with a thorough understanding of the fundamentals required for a viable solution,” said the manager of the Solution Space, Sarah-Anne Alman.
The program takes place twice per year and has so far helped over 30 startups over the course of the last two years. The first cohort for 2018 has already demoed their products (on June 26). If you would like to be part of the second cohort, you have just two days to apply, as the application window closes on July 1st.
