Ofo Ezeugwu (@OfoEzeugwu) is the CEO/Co-Founder of WhoseYourLandlord, which is a mobile platform enabling renters to rate their landlords and housing complexes and giving them the ability to find their next home. He’s a Temple graduate, who was also the VP of the student body and the founder of the Kids to College program. Ofo’s been recognized on BET’s #Under30 list and has had his work featured in over 30 news publications, including: TechCrunch, ABC 20/20, Black Enterprise, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and more. He is Brooklyn based and his acting and modeling work has landed him gigs with the Today Show, on four occasions, Nike, Alfani Suits, ESPN, and others. Ofo lives by the motto: “No steps backward; just forward progress.”
Cyndi Knapic works in Marketing Operations at AppNexus and is one of the Lead Organizers for Startup Weekend NYC. Prior to joining AppNexus, she co-founded a startup that won the 2011 Carnegie Mellon University Keith Block Entrepreneurship competition and was subsequently accepted to multiple accelerator programs. She enjoys hosting startup events around the city and volunteering with Hope for New York.
Chalmers Brown is a Software Engineer and Entrepreneur. He currently CEO & Founder of Turvation Labs. A Startup Development Company that builds scalable prototypes, business models and digital marketing plans for early stage startups. His company is working with a selective group of clients building innovative products in the Social, Non-Profit, and Sales Industries. During his time studying Pre-Med and Computer Science at Rutgers University, he founded and worked on various projects such as RUSelling.org (grew team of 3 to 20+ students and currently self-sustaining business), Gradhub.co (raised over $20k and won numerous awards while product was in beta), and SavySwap.co (went through the Tumml Accelerator Program in San Fransisco and featured on BET.com)
Dr. Alicia Powers has over 15 years experience using data to discover an organization’s needs and drive effective decision-making. Her expertise includes survey design, experimental design, case studies and complex data analysis. Her career trajectory includes roles like entrepreneur, founding board member, lead data scientist at a education start-up, medical researcher and consultant. She has worked with the National Science Foundation, the United States Department of Education, various state/local governments, and national non-profit organizations. Dr. Powers graduated from Rice University with a B.A. degree in Statistics and Cognitive Science. She earned her doctorate degree in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research has been shared at peer-reviewed conferences and she has taught at the University of Maryland-University College Business and Management School as an adjunct faculty member.
