Along with many other things that the New Year hopes to bring along, smartphones are most definitely a major part of the excitement connected to it all around the world. The technology is advancing faster than ever and the smartphones seem to have taken the lead way far ahead to the extent that now we have faster and smarter phones lining up every coming year. iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus

While the talk about the launch of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is still in the air, the rumors about the next version, i.e. iPhone 7 & iPhone & Plus have already started picking up pace. There are anticipations about some design changes in the next year’s models of the iPhone, like an edge to edge display or an even bigger screen or may be the rounded edges for an extended display. There are other guesses about Apple intending to make their phones water proof as well. A new D-Jack connector is also settling in as an insider confirmed news. Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge

Samsung’s latest phones Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have proven to be among the leading phones of the year 2015. But that does not mean that Samsung is intending to keep cashing on them longer than needed. In April next year, we are going to see Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with even better specs and smarter features. Rumor has it that Samsung plans to launch their next model in three different variants to meet the needs of India, Europe and US markets separately. Exynos M1, Exynos-7422 and Snapdragon 820 are being considered to be the core of these three variants.

LG G4’s launch has only just passed and here we are ready to anticipate its successor LG G5 as well. LG G% is expected to be launched around October next year with enhanced features and more powerful specs. There is news of LG collaborating with Irience to introduce iris scanner in G5; a big jump considering the fact that LG G4 lacks even fingerprint scanner.

LG G Flex 3

An expected Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 powered phone with 4 GB of RAM, 20 MP rear camera and 32 GB extendable storage, LG G Flex3 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated smartphones 2016. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding LG G Flex 3, but now that we have seen LG G Flex making positive strides in the market, it has become ever more evident that we are going to see the next model of the phone in early 2016 for sure.

Microsoft Surface Phone

Microsoft has set a whole new level of competition in the field of portable devices with the launch of its Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book along with Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones. We have been told that there is one Microsoft Surface Phone in the offing as well. It is anticipated to be a 5.5 inch Quad-HD AMOLED display phone with matching hardware: 4 GB RAM and 64-128 GB storage options. With those specs in line, Microsoft Surface Phone has become one of the most anticipated phones 2016.

Sony Xperia Z6

Sony might not have had 2015 as one of the best year of its sales but with the Xperia Z5 meeting the top class standards, they are very much in the race. There is not much leaked information about the new Xperia Z6. But if a hint is to be taken from Xperia Z5, we expect to see a revamped and bolder approach from Sony in its new models of the smartphone coming up next year. This is why Xperia Z6 remains to be one of the most anticipated smartphones 2016.

Well, here we are. Hope you are as excited to welcome the New Year as we are to check out the most anticipated smartphones 2016 being unveiled for real.
