Funny thing, there are people with 64-bit version of Windows on their PC but still, have the 32-bit version of Chrome browser. Despite the fact that the 64-bit version of Google Chrome has been around for awhile now, but it has remained at the user’s discretion to upgrade from 32-bit.
That was until Google decided that they will make that choice for you. If you are running 64-bit Windows, your 32-bit Chrome will automatically migrate to the 64-bit version.

Google announced that starting with Chrome version 58 if your system is running 64-bit version of Windows and you have at least 4GB of RAM. You will be migrated to Chrome 64-bit automatically.
