The Airtel Money VISA card will allow Airtel subscribers to shop and pay for goods and services from all VISA accepted stores and withdraw money through any VISA branded ATMs from their Airtel Money accounts.
This essentially enables users to transact in any restaurants, supermarkets and petrol stations both locally and internationally as long as they accept VISA card payments.
Airtel Kenya CEO, Adil El Youssefi said, “Our Premier customers have busy lifestyles and with this we have decided to focus on quick turnaround solutions that respond totheir ever-changing needs; they must address convenience, flexibility, real-time and above all offer value for money. The unveiling of the Airtel Money Premier VISA card is truly a key milestone as the company continues to offer its products and services to customers.”
Yousseffi went further to reaffirm the company’s commitment to producing innovative solutions that address the ever dynamic need of Airtel Money users in Kenya. This card is currently available to Airtel Kenya’s Premier post- and pre-paid customers.
Currently, Airtel Kenya’ mobile money is served with over 10,000 active agents across the country. This includes banks, bank agents, Posta outlets and supermarket chains.
