The tech field is flooding with testosterone, with a few exceptions of females here and there. Still, the numbers of females in the tech space is a far cry from anywhere near achieving gender equity. The situation is even worse in African countries, and Andela is on a mission to correct that. Andela Kenya is calling out to women (young and young at heart) to apply for its all-female-four-year-fully-paid technical leadership program.

The Andela Kenya Technical Leadership Program will transform you into an elite software developer. Andela Kenya describes its technical leadership program as one that will “dedicate yourself to the broader Andela community and requires that you apply yourself and challenge yourself to constantly improve personally and professionally throughout the four years of the Fellowship.”

The Andela fellowship will provide participants an extensive learning and work experience with leading global tech companies. Participants will also get to master the professional and technical skills required of a respected tech leader across Africa and the world.

Andela has a strong belief that despite the fact opportunities are not equally distributed, brilliance and capacity to achieve the extraordinary is equally distributed. It has thus set itself out on a course of empowering the underrepresented groups in tech and exposing them to world-class learning and career opportunities.
