Andela rolls out Special Software Development Program for Devs in Lagos

Developers or rather would-be developers in Lagos would be happy to know Andela has launched a new tool to help them to learn how to code in a more convenient manner.

Dubbed the Open Andela Lagos Study Bootcamp, this is a tailor-made software development programs for Devs in Lagos, Nigeria. This program is geared to provide Devs, an easily accessible version of Andela Homestudy Program in its original form.

Participants in the program will be taken through basics training on coding using the Andela’s home study pack curriculum. That will act as a platform for further advanced training needed to become a seasoned software developer.

Andela is calling upon interested Lagosians with LASSRA Registration Number to apply for the program before June 6th, 2016. The program kicks off in June – exact date to be announced later on – and winding up in August 2016.

After applying, successful candidates will be reached via email and will then embark on doing online aptitude tests. Candidates that pass these tests will be admitted and given full-time training for 11-weeks at the Andela’s facilities.

Once the students complete the program successfully, the will be awarded Certificate of Participation, get an opportunity to be admitted to the Andela Fellowship, the opportunity for job placements in top tech companies around Lagos courtesy of Andela, and a surprise gift.

This program was made possible through a partnership between Andela and the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Science & Technology and Ministry of Wealth Creation & Employment.
