There are a plethora of apps on Google Play Store. If it is your first time using a smartphone (or nowadays Chrome OS device) there is a chance you won’t know what you need to install, and what you need to stay away from. That is because of the surety that should come with apps hosted on the Google’s platform; no two apps are the same.
Google now is going further to display to you the best apps on Play Store on a new section called Android Excellence. The Play Store’s banner Editor’s Choice page will now show you the best apps and games, which will “deliver incredible user experiences on Android, use many of our best practices, and have great design, technical performance, localization, and device optimization.”
In May, Google highlighted the winners of the second annual Google Play Awards. Not surprisingly a good number of apps featured were also on the Android Excellence page. The search engine giant assures users they will hand-pick apps on a quarterly basis from its editorial team.
