According to a report published by the CNBC, Apple Inc. is set to roll out a new digital video service that will be accessible for free to its device owners.
The publisher reports it got this information from people familiar with the matter, though there has not been any official report from Apple itself.
The said digital video service will also carry subscription channels that allow viewers to sign-up for online-only services like the HBO and Starz. The online video shall be accessed via a revamped app, Apple plans to launch early next year.
For a company that has been struggling to gets its TV services to take off, this model might just be what Apple needs to capture more eyeballs.
