Come October 1st, Focus Hub will be opening its doors to startup entrepreneurs in the Niger Delta looking for some early stage and growth stage advice and possible networking opportunities.

Focus Hub is a new incubation hub establishing itself in the Niger Delta. It seeks to give startup entrepreneurs a platform to network and connect with mentors, venture capitalists and other tech industry experts. The hub wants to minimise the likelihood of startup businesses failing, endeavouring in reinventing the wheel and ensure they reach their full potential as far as becoming successful is concerned.

Focus Hub says it wants to establish itself with an enormous pool of talent from innovators, inventors, interns, volunteers, and engineers among others. The hub wants to act like the launchpad for the next disruptive startup idea and business emerging from the Niger Delta region. It will partners with such startups from both the region or nationwide in Niger Delta.

Focus Hub defines the criteria for eligibility for startups looking to incubate at the center. They must come from one of the Nine Niger Delta states. Next they must have a novel idea that addresses any of the socio-economic challenges facing the people within the Niger Delta environs. Additionally, their idea must be technologically viable, and must have a maximum of three people working on it full time.

It also goes without saying that the idea must be in beta stage, or at least meet the definition of a Minimum Viable Product to be accepted. If you are such a startup entrepreneur within the Niger Delta, you may apply for consideration to the Focus Hub Incubation program, before October 20th, 2015.
