Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) is currently accepting applications for the 2015 Girls Technology Camp. This year’s camp theme is ‘Geeky Diva – Grooming ICTpreneurs’.
The Girls Tech Camp will take place starting August 2nd to 15th, 2015. The camp will be geared towards sparking an interest in IT and computers among participating girls. The two-week long camp will have the girls taken through various computer and IT learning programs. Such as SCRATCH Programing with Raspberry Pi, Digital Video Production, 3D Designing using Sketch-Up, Mobile App Development, Graphics Designing, Robotics Programming and an excursion to various tech companies and leaders in the industry.
Girls interested in participating in the program will have to pay N 50,000 ($252) per head. This fee will cover tuition, food, boarding, education resources and transportation during excursions.
