Atlanta Based Accelerator, Bantunium Labs, First Cohort Class Presents Live for Virtual Demo Day with the accelerator celebrating its first ever cohort graduation
Bantunium Labs, an Atlanta-based diversity & inclusion accelerator solving diversity in tech, presents the graduates of the Fall 2016 cohort at our live Virtual Demo Day on November 7, 2017 via Webinar. These companies will present the progress and launch of their companies over the last year in the inaugural Bantunium Labs Accelerate Program Cohort.
Graduation day highlights from Bantunium Labs’ cohort include:
Health & Eye Care subscription service, Optikal Contact Care, founded by SueAnn Hollowell and Norman Stuart, is launching its own line of contact lenses to decrease eye health care costs, manufactured by X-Cel Specialty Contacts, makers of Extreme H2O.
Optikal Contact Care lenses are FDA approved, manufactured in the United States, and will be paired with their branded contact lens care kits for convenience and compliance.
The subscription service currently sells other contact lens brands but the Optikal brand will launch January 2018. (Pictured, SueAnn Hollowell and Norman Stuart)’
Music curation gets more sophisticated as noteXplore hits the Google Play store with the beta version of their app featuring playlist creation for Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
Led by Austin Webster and nxt8 Inc, noteXplore quickly allows you to create playlists based on album and song credit data from your favorite songs. The full version of the app and the iOS version are due out in early 2018. (Pictured, Austin Webster and Wyclef Jean at Midem 2017 in France)

Sheffie Robinson, Founder of Bantunium Labs says, “We are excited to present our first companies to the world. It’s been a great year working with them and we look for more years to come. Bantunium Labs is a safe place for founders of color to grow, make mistakes, take risks, but ultimately be more prepared for the world ahead of them. This is only the beginning for the program and these founders.” (Pictured, Sheffie Robinson)
