My People, that’s right! It is finally here

One of the biggest fuss about the Creators Update rolled out on April 11th was the My People app. A feature that was announced to feature on the Creators Update but when it came to the day of rolling out this next gen Windows 10, it was not there.

Microsoft said, the My People app was not yet ready for release and that some tweak here and there was necessary before they could deploy it. Sadly, those of you on the stable ring of Windows 10, who have already the Creators Update running on your device, you missed this interesting feature.

But all it not lost, as Microsoft has just released the My People app on the beta channel; Windows Insiders. Individuals on the Fast Ring of the Insiders program already have the My People app running on their devices.

What is the My People app?

My People brings all your contacts (friends) closer; right there on the taskbar, you can initiate conversation with your friend on Skype, open up the Outlook Mail app and email a friend. It had been said that the app will come with another really cool feature; Shoulder Taps, which gives you an array of intuitive emojis.

However, Shoulder Taps is not yet on the My People app already in release in the preview mode. Although word is, it will be available in the near future.

When to expect the My People app

The app was supposed to be rolled out together with the Creators Update, but it wasn’t ready by the set release date. So word is, it will come with the Windows 10 Redstone 3 set to be released sometime later this year.
