Browsix: Best Floating Browser for iPhone, iPad: Beats Safari, Chrome, Woks like Widget Within Apps

by Fahad Saleem

Regardless of the magnanimously drastic growth of mobile technology and software, the realm of mobile, apps is still devoid of a good browser. We come across hundreds of apps every month, but we are yet to see a good browser: Google Chrome eats all your memory, and please don’t say a word in the favor of Firefox, I hate it. But for all the iPhone users, there is a new browser in the town which might satisfy all your ever evolving browsing needs. Browsix is a special browser. It is a ubiquitous browser, which means you can open websites within app, above apps, from lockscreen, homescreen, you name it. It has color, style, attraction, and above all, it’s fast. The only thing which might sadden some of you is that it is a jailbreak tweak, which entails that you will need to have a jailbroken device.

Browsix works like a widget. Suppose your friend sent you an interesting link to a video or an article in Messages app. When you click you, the first thing that normally happens is the sloppy redirection, launching of the Safari app, page loading and so on. But when you have Browsix, just tap the link, and within a second the website will be opened without any app switch: that is, the browser will open the website within the iMessage app. Have a look at the image below and you will understand.

Browsix is open for integration with Safari. So for example, if you have opened a web page in Safari, and for some reason you want it opened in Browsix. Just tap and hold the bookmark button and the current tab will be opened in Browsix.

Browsix has a floating interface, you can drag it around, take it with you while switching the apps, using social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, open links and whatnot, and it will not create a single problem. The user experience is just astonishing and fluid.

All this for free? No chance! Browsix asks for just $2.99, but it is worth it. We spend most of our time browsing links and websites. You could use Browsix to make your life easy if you are not a fan of Safari, Chrome or Firefox.

Browsix is available for download from the BigBoss repo. It supports the latest iOS 8.4 version too. It is supported for iPad also.

Enjoy! And don’t forget to leave your feedback in the comments below.
