Well, going forward, you will have more ways to show your gratitude other than the five stars ratings and nice compliments. You could actually tip them right on the Uber app. Uber has been running a pilot program in Seattle, Minneapolis, and Houston where taxi users could tip their Uber drivers.
It seems the new Uber tipping feature is working fine, and the company has ironed out any kinks that might have been there and is now confident to roll it to more cities. No doubt, the tipping feature could warm the uneasy relationship between Uber (the company) and Uber driver (the partners).
The pair has always seen the other as unfair, with drivers saying Uber is taking too much cut on the fare paid, while Uber seeing the drivers as an ungrateful partner who doesn’t consider the cost of operating the platform.
