Caught On Camera: One Nigerian Police Beating The Living Day Lights Out Of A Fellow Officer
We have all heard about the great stories of how technology is transforming the African landscape; from business, agriculture, mobile money, health, maternal care, education, etc. Technology has also shrunk the African continent and the world as a whole, turning it into a one small global village.
But all this development might just come back to bite you as two Nigerian officer are now experiencing. Social media and in this case YouTube can put out your dirty linen to the entire planet so fast before you could say fast. Two Nigerian policemen differed for reasons only know to them and ended up in a tussle where punches were thrown; somebody hit the ground, and respect and honor for the uniform was tarnished. To make matters worse, all the fight was caught up on camera and went live on YouTube last Friday. Judging by the poor video quality, the video footage seems to have been taken from a smartphone.
The Nigeria Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojuku, while addressing the media over the Force’s ‘WrestleMania’ said: “We have seen the video and I can tell you that the men would be identified and apprehended to face disciplinary action. They will face orderly room trial, and they will be dismissed.”
