They say information is power, then by all rights, we should all be powerfully informed. Since we are living in the age of information overload thanks to the internet and smart portable devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
There are tons of tons of information available online on virtually anything. From science, arts, music, history, politics, human relationships and just about anything else. If you want to get information about anything, you simply ask Google, and it will pull up a long list of websites.
Slow Readers won’t get far
In this digital age, where we are bombarded by information. If you are a slow reader, you won’t get far. You need to speed up your reading otherwise, you will forever lag behind.
Good thing there is always an app for that. Dubbed Reedy, a Chrome extension developed by the AzaGroup helps you read web pages faster by displaying the text in bold fonts and colors at one position of your screen. That not only reduces eye strain of moving your eyeballs left to right, then top to bottom of your screen. It also helps you up your speed of reading.
The extension description reads in part:
“Start speed reading and you’ll be able to read books twice, three or even four times faster than you used to read!
Reedy uses a technique called RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) allowing you to read with any comfortable speed. Words are shown fast one after another on the same place of the screen, which increases the speed of perception of every single word.”
This extension has over 58,000 users with 619 of them having given it a 4.8 out of the 5 possible star ratings. The extension also runs offline, which means you don’t always have to be connected to the internet to use it.
