When it comes to productivity, Microsoft still has the best platform for getting work done. Windows by far exceed many other alternative platforms when it comes to getting work done. However, when it comes to mobile applications options, Android is more often than not, the developers’ first choice platform to create an app.

That is to say, if you are looking for an app to do your banking, book your airline travel ticket, or even pay for your parking. Android by far the most developers’ attention, and at the exact opposite of the scale lies Windows. Of all the mainstream operating systems, (Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows) Windows comes up among the least popular platforms for most developers.

For those reasons, users often feel compelled to carry around two devices. One running Windows to get work done, and Android device for getting those all-too-helpful applications while on the move. However, a  Chinese tablet manufacturer – Chuwi – thinks you should just carry one device (to rule them all) to satisfy all your needs.

Chuwi has made a name for itself in making dual-boot tablets, and their latest offering the 2018 Hi8 Air is currently making the headlines around the world. The 2018 Hi8 Air is a success of a different model (with still the same name) Hi8. The tablet runs both Windows 10 and Android, and you can change from one to the other by simply pressing a button twice.

The Hi8 Air dual-boot tablet specs

The Hi8 Air tablet is the upgraded version of an already existing tablet, the Hi8. As you might have already figured out from the name, this tablet comes with an 8-inch display. The display comes in FHD and with a 16:10 ratio.chuwi hi8 air

Pop up the hood, and you find 1.44GHz Intel X5 Cherry Trail Z8350 chip. You can upgrade the chip to 1.92GHz and 2GB RAM. It has a 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded to 128GB via MicroSD card. The table is juiced with a 4,000mAh battery. It also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and has the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is housed in a metallic body and has a micro HDMI and micro USB ports. For a mode desktop usage, the tablet comes with a Bluetooth keyboard and an OTG cable.chuwi hi8 air.jpeg

Okay, admittedly the specs on the Hi8 Air are not enough for power users, but it will work great for folks whose demand for their mobile computing device is not that heavy. It also serves well that it will not be that costly.
