Code For Good Hackathon Event Happening In Nairobi This Friday 13 June
There is a new start-up dubbed Nairobi Startup Garage, and it is set to host Intel’s Code For Good Hackathon this Friday 13th June. The event will put various teams of coders against one another in a competition of solving problems using software. Coders wishing to join this event should register as a team comprising of four individuals.
After forming the team, members will be required to develop an Android or HTML5 app that can solve a predefined challenge that are currently existing in various NGOs. The winning team members will walk away prize awards comprising of smartphones and laptops fitted with Intel software among other Intel merchandise and goodies.
The Code For Good Hackathon invite reads: “Do you love to code? Are you interested in solving social problems through software? Do you love to work in teams? Would you love to train, inspire and help out young coders? Would you love to show off your Coding skills? Then the Intel Code for Good Hackathon is an event that you should not miss.”
The event will kick off at 7am and ends at 7pm. So coders out there, this is your chance to showcase your “mad” coding skills and get rewarded for your brilliance.
