ColoredContent.com is a video streaming service dedicated to showcasing Black web series. The site is geared towards amplifying voices of Black media creators by showcasing their narratives in different genres, including action, comedy, drama, lifestyle, reality, romance, and sci-fi.
Unlike other streaming platforms out there, ColoredContent does not charge viewers a monthly subscription fee or a sign-up fee. Provided you have a device to access the internet and reliable connection; you are good to go.
Victoria Coker, the Founder of ColoredContent, told Innov8tiv, “After cutting the cord on cable, it was hard to find content that directly shared the Black narrative. YouTube is cluttered with a wide variety of media. I saw there was a need to streamline the process of finding quality Black content, so I created ColoredContent.com.”
Viewers can expect to watch award-winning web series at the platform like ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ and ‘Grey’. The platform also features original web series, including: ‘Stylist Wars’ and ‘Style x Us’. ColoredContent also plans to expand the number of original series. In 2016, they release a new dating show, ‘3 Cheers for Love!’, similar to the classic dating game but featuring colored people.
