We all been there, you get an email from your boss requesting a certain report by a particular time, or you make promises to bae to buy movie tickets for your date night. But as soon as you exit that particular email, you are bombarded with tens of other emails, and you forget about all the promises you had made in the earlier email. Well, seems like Cortana will be having your back now.

Microsoft’s digital assistant, Cortana, has just gotten an artificial assistant update infused into it that will enable it to recognize, make a note of, and remind you of any and all promises you make in an email.

So be certain, Cortana will pop up on your Windows 10 PC, or smartphone reminding you of a promise you had made earlier. Never again should you forget a promise, unless you deliberately want to.

Now, Cortana can help you remember things you’ve said you would do in your emails; without you even having to ask,” blogs Marcus Ash, a partner group program manager. “Cortana automatically recognizes when you make a commitment in email messages and will proactively suggest a reminder to you to follow through at just the right time.”

If you are interested in enabling Cortana to make sure you live up to your promises. You must sign in to Cortana and give it the permission to read your emails. That way, all the promises you make in your emails, Cortana will also read them and remind you about them just in time.
