Google & Lenovo Calling On Developers To Apply For Project Tango| Feb 15 Deadline

Mountain View tech giant Google has teamed up with Chinese tech giant Lenovo to launch Project Tango and is now inviting developers from all over the world to grow the app ecosystem.

The Project Tango technology enables mobile devices to navigate the physical world the way humans do. It will bring a new type of spatial perception onto the Android platform through advance computer vision, special vision sensors and image processing.

Project Tango can run on Android device platform running Java, C and Unity. The technology is expected to evolve and be able to support highly advanced software and hardware capabilities. Successful developers will stand the chance go walking away with funding and have their apps feature on Lenovo’s next flagship smartphone.

If you are a developers and would be interested in this project, you have until February 15, 2016 to submit your application on the Project Tango website. At the site, you will also find guidelines on the eligibility requirements and the criteria used for selecting the winners.

This initiative is the product of tech partners working in collaboration with the developer community to build an open platform that will have a great impact.
