Diaspora Demo Day, Washington DC, November 22, 2014

On Saturday November 22nd, 2014, at Georgetown University ICC Auditorium, starting 9am to 2:30pm, Washington DC will play host for the Diaspora Demo Day; a platform for showcasing the emerging high growth and high impact technology companies and social enterprises with a focus on Africa or the African Diaspora.

The event is expected to host over 300 attendees, which the biggest crowd of startup investors outside the continent of Africa, looking for investments opportunities in Africa and the African Diaspora.

Startups participants will be given the opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of an audience made up of impact investors, policy makers, Diaspora angel investors, innovation enthusiasts, industry experts, fellow entrepreneurs and an esteemed panel of high-profiled judges. The startup participants will be up for a chance to win an assortment of prizes in addition to gaining insightful experience that they can later use in building up their businesses.

The event will be hosted by tiphub; a mentorship-driven accelerator and a business consultancy whose agenda is to develop and support seed stage technology and social impact ventures across the African continent and the African Diaspora.
