Entrepreneur and Chemist Eunice Cofie is Ladybrille Woman of the Month Jan 2016

Growing up in America as the daughter of Ghanaian immigrant parents, Eunice Cofie was bullied because of her dark skin resulting in a really damaged self-esteem. It wasn’t until her father introduced her to science that it shifted her thinking from the bullying of her peers.

Today, Eunice, often noted as the modern-day, Madame C.J. Walker, is making great strides in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. She is the President and Chief Cosmetic Chemist of Nuekie – an ethnic dermatology company.

The company specializes in research and development of dermatological products for ethnic men and women. She has been honored by numerous prestigious publications including Forbes.com and is also a sought-after speaker. Eunice is LadybrilleWoman of the Month for January 2016.

About the Ladybrille Woman of the Month Feature

The ‘Ladybrille Woman of the Month’ celebrates women who empower themselves and others through their contributions and actions in their local and international communities.

These women are intelligent, courageous, confident, and innovative. They strive for balance in their personal lives (whether emotionally, mentally, and spiritually), are persistent, and when they fall, they get right back up. These women honor and stand in their truths.

They are business and community leaders, visionaries, trailblazers and game changers. They are our sisters, aunties, mothers, friends and so much more. They are “Ladybrille” (brilliant) women. In 2014, the Ladybrille Woman feature expanded to include a podcast show, ‘The Ladybrille Woman Podcast’ Show also periodically extends to Ladybrille men in a special feature.
