Partnership enables government agencies to replace legacy solutions that leave data vulnerable to foreign security attacks
Appsian, the leading provider of ERP security solutions, today announced a partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as Appsian’s public sector distributor, making the company’s data security solutions available to Federal agencies through Carahsoft’s NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V contract and National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint cooperative purchasing contract and reseller partners.
“Government organizations are struggling with insecure, legacy solutions that are unable to protect sensitive ERP data from increasingly sophisticated threats from foreign actors,”says Appsian CEO Piyush Pandey. “This new partnership with Carahsoft enables Appsian to share expertise with Federal agencies, who may not currently have access to the solutions needed to enable their security teams to increase control over access to sensitive data and to mitigate challenges themselves.”
The partnership builds on Appsian’s strong record of serving government organizations, including more than 200 current customers on the Federal level. Appsian’s ERP security platform provides organizations with enhanced data access controls and user activity monitoring, which allows users to proactively guard against unauthorized access to sensitive data in real-time. Additionally, organizations can establishpolicies based on specific data elements by utilizing Appsian’s user behavior analytics. These combined capabilities allow government organizations to rapidly adapt to the diverse range of attacks from around the globe.
“Appsian’s ERP data security solutions will allow our government customers to maintain control and visibility over sensitive data. This level of insight is a critical need as evidenced by the significant number of breaches experienced over the course of last year in both the public and private sectors,” says Alec Wyhs, Manager of the Appsian team at Carahsoft. “We look forward to working with Appsian and our reseller partners to help secure agency environments against sophisticated threats.”
Recognizing the unique needs of government agencies, Appsian has also launched a DC-area presence led by Michael Friedel, who will serve as Appsian’s Executive Director of Government Solutions. Friedel has more than two decades of experience in Federal IT with a focus on enterprise software solutions, which will support government partners seeking to improve their cyber defense capabilities.
“Appsian’s new partnership with Carahsoft enables Federal agencies to adopt security solutions that fit their current data storage practices while also expanding visibility, mobile access and flexibility,” says Friedel. “Having worked with government organizations for many years, I see enormous value in Appsian’s solutions for the Federal market.”
