On Thursday November 20th, VC4Africa kicked off its Global Entrepreneurship meetup event in over 40 cities around the world, including Abidjan, Abuja, Accra, Addis Ababa, Amsterdam, Antananarivo, Lagos, London, Los Angeles, Lusaka, Maputo, Nairobi, New York, Nuremberg, Pretoria, Port Harcourt, San Francisco, Seattle, Singapore, Yaoundé.

The theme question of this year’s event was, “How can we multiply investments in African start-ups over the next year?”. This question was answered by participants in the meetup in New York City and some people used twitter hashtags #VC4Africa #GEW2014 to communicate there answers. Below is a notable quote from the event including comments from twitter;

Cherae Robinson  (She Leads Africa Event Winner) Africa is on the rise with innovation and not only am I doing my part by encouraging others to travel to Africa with my new app Rare Customs, I’m also being the voice that encourages the diaspora to get involved now before they miss the window of opportunity.
