Female Entrepreneur, Felena Hanson talks about her journey to opening the Hera Hub
Felena Hanson had been working in marketing for some time, before taking the plunge into entrepreneurship. She started Hera Hub, as a way to provide an innovative work space for freelancers, entrepreneurs, independent consultants and authors who are looking for a formal professional setup to work from as opposed to working from home, or meeting business associates at the Starbucks.
The Hera Hub is professional formal setup where members can meet with their clients, work in an suitable environment and connect and collaborate with other entrepreneurs who share the same ambitions; thus creating a community support.
Felena has successfully established Hera Hubs in three different locations around the San Diego County within just 2 years of operations. She wants to take the Hera Hub nationwide, under a franchising business plan.
Her entrepreneurial endeavors has earned her several nominations to a number of small business awards and so far she has bagged the “Women Advocate of the Year” in 2014 and “Women Business Owner of the Year” in 2012, from the San Diego chapter of the National Organization of Women Business Owners.
She was also awarded the “Small Business Champion of the Year” award by the San Diego Small Business Administration in 2014. She has also been featured in Forbes and the New York Times, Inc. among other media outlets.
She also did an audio interview with blogtalkradio.com, which we share with you today.
