Using headphones in cars is highly useful when you are driving and have to talk to your friend and family. A lot of users, mainly of iPhone 6 have reported that hands-free are not working via Bluetooth in Honda Accord’s different models, especially of the 2011 model. When you connect the headphones with the car outlet, it shows the ‘connected’ sign. But when the calls come, the car speakers do not work. There are a few ways to fix this problem. Let’s find them out.
Deleting Devices and Pairing Again
First, go to Car settings and delete the iPhone from the hands-free memory by going to Bluetooth car settings.
Now go to iPhone Bluetooth settings and “Forget” the hands-free device, which is the car in this case.
Now reset all the settings in iPhone. Many users just reset network settings. But resetting all the settings is necessary. Pair the device again and things will work just fine. If you don’t know how to reset all settings, here it is: launch settings, go to General->Reset-> Reset all settings.
Using the Airplane Mode Trick
Make sure that the iPhone is not plugged in the charger. Turn ON the Airplane mode. Go in the Bluetooth and select “forget” your car. Now turn off the Bluetooth
Now restart your phone by pressing the Home button and power button together for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
Now turn off the Airplane mode. Turn on Bluetooth, pair the phone again with car, and you will be good to go.
Update Software
You must also ensure that you have the latest version of iOS and car companion software. The lack of updated software is also one of the most known causes of iPhone connectivity problems in hands-free in Honda cars.
