Fix Icon Size Disparity Problems in Windows 10 Taskbar and Desktop: Change Icon Size

A lot of users of Windows 10 have reported a problem in which the desktop icons seem too tiny, and there seems to be no way to change the size if desktop icons. The size disparity with taskbar and desktop icons makes is pretty difficult to use the computer for day to day activities.  A lot of Windows 10 users are facing desktop icon size issues due to lowered dpi ratio and resolution.  Even after changing the resolution to native or 1440×900, the icons remain the same.

Fix Icon Size Disparity Problems in Windows 10 Taskbar

One way to fix icon size problem in desktop or task bar in Windows 10 is to right click on the task bar and then use the icon size option.

If you right click on the task bar and don’t see the option for icon size, make sure to add a new tool bar. In order to add a new tool bar in Windows 10, right click on the task bar in Windows 10 and go to Toolbars and then click on New toolbar. Navigate to the location you want to add as a toolbar and click on select folder.

Make sure you have this double bar sign on your task bar. Right clicking this task bar will give you the option to change icon size.

If you want to change icons on desktop, just right click on the desktop and click on View and you will get the options to change icon size.
