Fix LG G3 Won’t Turn On, Not Charging Problems (Guide)

LG G3 is a great phone which got intense popularity within days after its launch. But recently, some critical issues about this phone have started surfacing in the web forums. The most serious of these problems are related to charging and phone not turning on. A lot of users say that LG G3 won’t charge or won’t turn on. There seems to be no apparent cause of this problem and it comes out of the blue. In this article, we will talk about a few solutions that are known to fix these two problems.

Fix LG G3 Won’t Turn On, Not Charging

First, you should try to change the charger, cable, take out battery, just to see that there isn’t any problem with the charging devices.

A few people were able to fix LG G3 charging problem by taking out battery and leaving it out for 10-15 minutes and putting it back in the phone. You will be able to fix the problem as low-quality batteries sometimes needs discharging for lithium ion chemical revamps.

Take out the battery, plug the phone to the charger and then turn the phone on. It your phone wasn’t turning on at first, it will be turned on now. Now put the battery back in and let it charge for at least an hour.

Soft Reset

If your LG G 3 won’t turn on, doing a “soft reset” may fix the issues. Just hold the power button for more than 5 seconds and the phone will come back to life. Or hold the power button with the volume up button.  Or just press together the power button Volume (UP) button, home button and power button until the phone vibrates. Then leave the hold on the power button only. Keep pressing the other two buttons until you see the Android recovery screen. You can now leave all the buttons. Now use Volume down button and select hard factory reset option and then select it with the power button.
