Fix PS4 and Xbox Crashing Due to Epic Account

Fortnite players are facing the issue of game crashing due to epic account on PS4 and Xbox. When the game starts, it loads normally until the message “checking the connection to data center” appears. The message keeps loading for few seconds but after that, the game gets stuck or the console crashes. Moreover, when the user unlinks the epic account, the game works perfectly fine. Re-Install

Re-installing any game usually fixes the majority of the issues. To fix Fortnite PS4 and Xbox crashing due to epic account, uninstall the game completely and then re-install it on your PS4 or Xbox. Your progress is saved in your account so you will not lose any data.

Updates

Check for update to resolve the issue. To check for updates, sign in on your Xbox one and select “my games and App”. Now, select Games, highlight the Epic Games and press the menu button on your controller. Next, click on Manage Game. Select the game logo, press the menu button on the controller, and click on updates. If any recent update is available, download it.

Hard Restart Xbox

To hard restart Xbox, hold the power button for ten seconds while the system is on. The Xbox will turn off. Now, when you press the power button again, it will start and display the green start-up screen. By performing these steps, the cache is cleared and some settings are reverted to default settings. All the data will be preserved. This can resolve the game start issues of crashing due to epic account on Xbox.

 

Another method is to power down the Xbox, unplug it, wait for ten seconds, plug it back and power it on. This could also fix Fortnite PS4 and Xbox crashing due to epic account.

Clear PS4 Cache

To clear the cache on your console in PS4, power it off. Unplug the power cable for about two minutes and then plug it back. Power up your console. It will reinstall the required updates and content.

 

Resolution Setting Xbox

You can try to reboot the console’s resolution settings to fix Fortnite PS4 and Xbox crashing due to epic account. Press and hold the power button on the console for five seconds. After the console light is not flashing anymore, press and hold the power button and the disk eject button simultaneously. Press until it beeps twice. It takes almost ten seconds to do so. The console will then boot up. Now, go to display and sound in console settings. Change the resolution to 1080p or 720p.
