FlexPai launches the world’s first Foldable Phone running on Snapdragon 8150 chip

It’s finally here folks, the foldable phone is no longer a sci-fi thing or a futuristic projection. FlexPai is the world’s first foldable phone. Wait, it is not a phone, it is a tablet, but the point is, it is foldable.

The FlexPai is a 7.8-inches screen with 4:3 aspect ration. When folded, the device transforms into a more ‘manageable’ 4-inched device. This device is also the first device ever to be powered by the next gen. 7nm Snapdragon 8150!

The device is running on Water OS, which switched to using just half of the screen when folded. The screen is AMOLED and folds down right in the middle. The user selects which half of the screen to use when the device is folded; though the side with the dual camera has slightly ‘less screen real-estate to work with.’

Now, that we’re talking about the camera, the FlexPai comes with dual camera as aforementioned, and the camera are 16+20MP. The second camera module comes with a telephoto lens.

The FlexPai is 7.6mm thick, and when folded it measures 15.7mm thick. The area the ‘hinge’ does not fold flat, thus making it somewhat thicker. The manufacturer claims the hinge can be opened and closed about 200,000 times.

Under the hood, the device gets its power from a 7nm Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 8150. The base model comes with 6GB RAM and 128 storage space. Some variants come with 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB.

It also has a proprietary Ro-Charge for fast charging. The manufacturer claims to goes from 0% to 80% charge within just one hour. You can own the base model starting at $1,300.
